MomCo Meetup | 1st & 3rd Wednesdays from 9:30–12pm
MomCo 2.0 Meetup | 2nd & 4th Wednesdays from 9:30–12pm

The MomCo encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders in relationship with Jesus and in partnership with the local church. The MomCo strives to meet the needs of every mom—urban, suburban, and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single, and married moms—all sharing a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be. The MomCo can help!

Frisco First Baptist hosts two programs to meet the needs of all moms in our community. The MomCo is designed with the mother of preschoolers (birth through pre-k) in mind while The MomCo 2.0 program meets the unique needs of mothers with school-age children. If you’re a mom of adult children, there’s a place for you too. The MomCo is always looking for Mentor Moms to inspire and encourage our moms to grow in grace!

What is MOPS

What is MomCo?

The MomCo is short for The Mom Community.
There are more than 3,900 MomCo groups meeting across the United States, and in 35 countries around the world. MomCo groups meet regularly to celebrate the joys of motherhood and to encourage one another through its challenges.

Guiding Principles

The MomCo groups are chartered through local faith-based organizations, including churches and other ministries. While each group is different, the MomCo program is built on several foundational principles:

  • Welcoming to all Women: We’ve all been placed in this time and place in history, as the tribe of women raising the world. And the beauty is we don’t have to all agree with one another but everyone is in, and we need each other.

  • Mentoring: Sometimes we need a mature woman who has been there, done that, to bounce ideas off of. That’s why we love our mentor moms, they have sage advice and willing ears.

  • Honest Conversation: Real talk is liberating. It frees us from assumptions that we are alone in our struggles.

  • Relevant Teaching: We provide hope filled, inspired speakers to encourage us as mothers and give us new tools to use in our role as Mom.

  • Leadership Development: Women who are involved in The MomCo gain confidence in their leadership skills through the training and experience they receive from MomCo.

What We Do

  • Discussion: The intimate and accepting atmosphere of a small group offers moms a chance to share their successes, failures, questions, and concerns. It is during these times that a mom realizes that she is not alone, and lifelong friendships are formed.

  • Teaching: Topics presented at MomCo Meetups celebrate motherhood and meet a mom’s unique needs during this season of life.

  • Creative Activities: Through creative projects and crafts, women are encouraged to experience the sense of accomplishment that comes with trying and finishing new things.

  • KidsCo: During MomCo Meetups, children are cared for in a program called KidsCo, where they experience love in a preschool-like setting.

What is MomCo 2.0?

MomCo 2.0 is for mothers of school-age children.
Moms need community! This is true during the preschool years and beyond. As mothers enter the school years, new challenges and issues arise, but the need for community and hope remains. For this reason, we offer MomCo 2.0, a ministry to mothers of school-age children. MomCo 2.0 is an open, accepting place for moms to experience authentic community, personal growth, practical help and spiritual hope.

While we are a Christian based program, any mom of a school-age child is invited to attend, regardless of faith background or belief. MomCo 2.0 is not a Bible study; it's a positive, hope-filled environment for moms to come together in support of one another as we walk through the various stages of motherhood, and we welcome everyone.

MomCo 2.0 Meetups

MomCo 2.0 Frisco meets the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of the month, following the Frisco ISD calendar. Our meetings begin at 9:30am and end at 11:45am. Childcare for preschool and homeschool children (up to age 12) is available. Meetings consist of relevant speakers, community outreach, small group discussion, morning coffee, and lunch. Opportunities to socialize outside of regular meetings are important for moms to, and that’s why we plan two “drop & go” meetings, meet-ups, and moms’ night out events.

We hope that you will join us soon! We look forward to meeting you.
